1. What we do

Roof Replaced Wellington is a free quote-matching and referral service. We pass your enquiry to independent roofing businesses. We are not a roofer, builder or Licensed Building Practitioner, and we do not carry out building work. Any contract for work is made directly between you and the provider you choose.

2. Indicative prices are not quotes

Estimator results, cost ranges, and chat answers are general, indicative information drawn from published sources and the details you give us. They are not quotes, offers or guarantees. Actual prices depend on a site inspection by a provider and on scope, access, scaffolding, wind zone, asbestos, consent and material choice. Always get an itemised written quote.

3. Information on this site

We take care to keep content accurate and to cite and date our sources, consistent with the Fair Trading Act 1986, which prohibits misleading or deceptive conduct and unsubstantiated representations. Building rules change, though. Confirm consent requirements with your council or MBIE, and check that your roofer holds a current LBP roofing licence on the public register. Nothing on this site is legal, engineering or financial advice.

4. Providers

We do not employ or control providers, and we do not guarantee their work, availability, prices or licensing. Check credentials, insurance and references before you sign. Your rights in relation to the roofing work, including under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and the Building Act 2004 implied warranties (ss 362I and following), are against the provider who does the work.

5. Consumer Guarantees Act

Our matching service is supplied free to consumers. To the extent the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 applies to our service, nothing in these terms limits your rights under it. If you are in trade, the CGA does not apply where s 43 permits contracting out. .

6. Acceptable use

Don't submit false enquiries or another person's details without their permission. Don't scrape, overload or attack the site, or misuse the AI chat.

7. AI chat

The chat assistant gives automated answers that may be inaccurate. Don't rely on it for decisions without checking with a provider or the official source.

8. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of the site, from the information on it, or from any provider's acts or omissions. Where liability can't be excluded, it is limited to NZ$100 (TBC) or re-supplying the service. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including under the Fair Trading Act 1986 or the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.

10. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms by posting a new version. These terms are governed by New Zealand law, and the New Zealand courts have exclusive jurisdiction.
