Tile and decramastic roofs
If your home has a concrete tile or pressed-metal (decramastic) roof, a switch to long-run steel is a common choice. Some older decramastic coatings may contain asbestos, so testing comes first 2. Converting tile to profiled metal in the same position is an MBIE example of exempt work 3. See tile to steel.
Harbour and coast
Titahi Bay, Plimmerton and Pukerua Bay face open coast, while Paremata and Mana sit on the harbour and inlet. Both affect the exposure category and which coating is warranted 4.
Hill suburbs
Higher suburbs such as Whitby and Aotea can be exposed to strong winds, so the wind zone and fixing pattern should be on your quote 5.

Frequently asked
Is decramastic always asbestos?
No. Some older decramastic coatings contain it, so only a test can tell 2.
